One Food I Would Recommend Eliminating

Artificial Sweeteners

Artificial Sweeteners!

There are several things you could eliminate from your routine that would have a big impact for your overall health. Artificial sweeteners (five examples: saccharin, neotame, acesulfame potassium or ace-k, aspartame, and sucralose) are definitely one of the top food products to ditch. There is no question that even naturally derived sugars can be harmful to our health… I look more towards how things are processed. The white table sugar stuff, not good, coconut palm sugar, much better.

The availability of naturally sweetened products is rising which is great to see, but the old school way of thinking is still around today with companies still concerned with what’s generally cheaper that will provide the taste properties they are use to delivering.

With more people having health issues today like diabetes and the staggering number of cases for those diagnosed with some form of cancer it’s definitely time to pay more attention to what we are eating and drinking on a regular basis.

Top 7 Reasons to Stop Consuming Artificial Sweeteners:

    1. Trick Your Taste Buds

    2. Tricks Your Gut

    3. Messes with your Hormones

    4. Cause you to Overeat

    5. They’re Genetically Modified (GMO’s)

    6. Type 2 Diabetes Risk

    7. Metabolic Syndrome
(cluster of conditions — increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels — that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes).

There are so many other issues with them, too many to list, but the main ones are troublesome enough to serious think about what’s in your drinks or food.

There are many natural sweeteners or natural sugars you can use or that now come in many healthier product alternatives… just get use to seeing some of these names below on food labels.
